Welcome to this week’s issue of Musings! It’s a short one this week as I wanted to share something that I’m a little excited about and leave it at that. I’ve got a book review coming later this week about an excellent book by Kiersten Marcil and possibly some fun news about The Bookish Historian overall. Stay tuned!
Go Ahead and Promote Already Yourself Already, Dang It!
I’m going to be the first to admit that I don’t like self-promotion. The introvert in me loathes it. However, if The Bookish Historian is ever going to grow, I’ve gotta learn to market both it and myself. And to that end, I was recently interviewed by Subkit for their GoSolo series. Subkit is a service focused on helping entrepreneurs build their businesses and collaborate with others. They also celebrate small business owners by publishing interviews with them. Last week they published an interview with me about my freelancing business, and I’m quite happy with how it turned out.
I started Bocwine Consulting in 2018. Mostly it’s contained on the freelancing platform Upwork under my profile, but I have branched out elsewhere. If you need someone for writing, editing, technical communications, beta reading/book review, or other services, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I can be reached at alwilliams006@gmail.com
Like I said, this was going to be a short one. But I hope you look forward to a book review later this week and perhaps some information on an exciting find related to Henry Tudor and his first wife Katherine of Aragon!
Until then, have a great week!
Cheers,
-Amy
